- Live in Kent,
- Attend a participating school, college or work-based training provider,
- Have a genuine need to travel to undertake their education.
Full details can be found on the Kent County Council website using the following link
This travel card will represent a substantial saving on travel for the vast majority of students.
To apply for a 2016-17 16+ Travel Card you need to follow these steps:
- Step 1
Apply for the card directly to Kent County Council via the following link:
Alternatively you can print an application form here
You will also need an up to date passport sized photograph of your child.
The deadline for applications in order to receive your child's card ready for September is
Friday 15th July 2016.
- Step 2
When you have applied to KCC for the travel card, the payment for your card should be made directly to the school via Parent Pay. The fee for the card is £400. You can pay this in full or by monthly standing order. If you choose to pay by standing order, you will need to make an initial payment of £120 via Parent Pay and then instruct your bank to make a monthly standing order payment for £40 per month.
You can print a Standing Order Form here.
Please return it to your bank (not to school) in order to set up your payment.
In order for us to process your payments in time, the deadline for payments is Friday 8th July.
(Please be aware that in September we will not be able to issue any passes that we have not received payment for.)
If you have questions about 16+ Travel Cards, please do not hesitate to call Mrs Day, Sixth Form Support Officer who will be happy to help.
We would not want any child to be prevented from attending St. Anselm's Sixth form as a result of the cost of transport. Financial assistance is available if your total household income is below £20,818.
To apply for Bursary Assistance, please complete the form below and submit it to Mrs Day, Sixth Form Support Officer. You will need to enclose a copy of your Tax Credit Award dated within the past 9 months. This must be a full award and not partial.
Please print a copy of the Bursary Application Form here.
All bursary applications will be treated in confidence.
When we have received your application, you will be contacted by Mrs Day to let you know the amount for the bus pass that you will need to pay.
The deadline for Bursary Applications is Monday 4th July.
Please note - Application does not guarantee entry to our Sixth Form as entrance is based on students achieving a minimum of five A* - C grades at GCSE level PLUS any specific requirements for the subjects they have chosen.
