BTEC Level 3 Business

BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate 
Exam Board: Edexcel 

A BTEC National Extended Certificate is a level 3 qualification that will provide a vocational approach to studying Business. Through analysing real businesses and applying knowledge to ‘real life’ scenarios, all students will have the opportunity to learn a huge variety of skills that will form a strong basis for them to either use for their progression into university or into the world of business. This is an exciting opportunity to achieve highly in a predominantly continual assessment course.

This qualification is equivalent to one A Level.

What will I study?
Across the two years students will study 3 mandatory units:
- Exploring business
- Developing a marketing campaign
- Personal and Business Finance 

Students then have the opportunity to undertake one additional optional unit:
- Recruitment and selection process
- Investigating customer service
-Market Research
-The English Legal system
-Work Experience in Business 

How will I be examined?
As this is a BTEC course students will be continually assessed throughout the two years. Two of the units will be internally assessed and the remaining two units will be externally assessed. Students will have the option to resit both of the externally assessed units if required.
