GCSE PE Years 9-11

The current uptake of GCSE PE students will follow the new AQA GCSE PE Specification.  The assessment is now 60% examination and 40% practical.  This is suitable for students who are participating in sport outside of school and are interested in the physiological, psychological and sociological aspects of sport!

Students will be assessed performing in three sports; one individual, one team and the third either individual or team.  The amount of sports that students can be assessed in has reduced so please consider the table below demonstrating the sports you can be assessed in when selecting GCSE PE.  If you are not participating in any of the sports below but do want to take GCSE PE it is strongly recommended that you start a sport from the list in order to get the best practical grade you can.
