Year 7 

Cycle 1 & 2

Year 7 begin the year looking at everyday objects and how art can make them extraordinary.  Looking at the work of Jim Dine and Michael Craig Martin, students experiment with ink, clay and card alongside building basic sketching skills.  

Cycle 3

Through learning about symbols and understanding the work of Frida Kahlo and Teesha Moore, students compare and contrast their ideas, methods and techniques.

Cycle 4

In cycle 3 students research artist portraits through role play and analytical investigations into techniques that they use. From this they design glasses based on their work.

Homework

Our homework is designed to promote and encourage imagination and creativity. Each student receives a homework book full of inspirational activities.
