Year 8

Cycle 1 & 2

In cycle 1, students focus on drawing skills and use of tone for 3D objects.

'Artists as Activists'

Students look at the work of artists that through the ages have sent a messages through their work, such as; Bansky, Grayson Perry, Bob and Roberta Smith etc. From this research they produce a design based on a point of view they feel strongly about.

Cycles 3 & 4

Students look at natural and man-made objects and abstract ideas for 3D card structures. They are introduced to the work of Henry Moore, Paollizzi and Anthony Caro for inspiration.

Homework

Students are provided with a homework book full of activities based on a range of techniques and mediums.
