Year 7 Retreat
Thursday 28th November Aquinas & Stein:
Mrs Weston Curriculum Manager for RE - On Thursday Aquinas and Stein Year 7 students attended the Year 7 retreat at Aylesford Priory. The students really enjoyed the activities which included a Tour of the Priory, drama, hand of friendship and shield about their talents. The day finished with a liturgy service where students were able to demonstrate what they had done in their groups and pray for each other.
Morwenna Smith Year 7 Aquinas – On Thursday 28th November, Aquinas House and Stein House, year 7’s went to the Aylesford Priory for a retreat day. The focus for the day was to think about ourselves as a person and a Christian. One of the activities was where we had to fill out different parts of the shield which were numbered one to seven. I really enjoyed this activity because it involved looking back to when we were fine and write down what our favourite TV programme was back then.
Spencer Graham Year 7 Stein – The retreat was a great experience to get closer to the religious aspect of the school. It brought everyone together and we had so much fun. We did a series of activities, such as meditation, drama and a trip around the Priory. I would definitely like to go again.

Sophie East Year 7 Bosco – When we went on the Year 7 retreat to Aylesford we got to do lots of fun activities such as ice breaker games, drawing and colouring as well as some drama. After the activities we also got to attend a service where prayers and readings took place.
Louis Cussen Year 7 Merici – My thoughts on the retreat are that we had an amazing day and so much fun. In our groups we went on to complete so many different and fascinating activities such as making a shield about ourselves. After these activities we went to go to a service about the day, where we had readings together.
