HCPT Quiz Night at St Thomas' Church Hall - Saturday 20 April 2024
Pens at the ready and fingers on buzzers as HCPT will be holding a quiz night at St Thomas' RC Church Hall this Saturday (20 April) at 7.00pm! Tickets are £5 and tea, coffee and nibbles will be provided. All proceeds to go to Hosanna House Children's Pilgrimage Tust, a charity which takes children and adults with special needs on very special pilgrimage holidays to Lourdes. HCPT Barn Dance at St Thomas' Church Hall - Sat 24 Feb 2024
Dust off your dancing shoes as our local HCPT (Hosanna House Children's Pilgrimage Trust) will hold a Barn Dance on Saturday, 24th February, at St Thomas's Church Hall Canterbury! Bring your own food and drink (tea and coffee provided). Live music from band 'Re-jigged'. Tickets are £10 available in advance from organiser, Annie Judge. Christmas Carol Service at St Thomas' - Thurs 14 Dec 2023
Our Christmas Carol Service will be be held at St Thomas' of Canterbury RC Church, 59 Burgate, Canterbury CT1 2HJ at 7.00pm on Thursday 14th December. All are welcome.
Christmas Fairs 2023
With the start of Advent, we thought you may be interested to know about the Christmas Fairs that are happening in our community.
Our Lady Immaculate and St Joseph's Churches, Whitstable: Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November 2023.
The Parish Christmas Fairs will take place after both Masses. The church would appreciate donations of bottles*, books, jewellery, Christmas themed craft work, Christmas decorations, Christmas cards, festive wreaths, gifts & tombola. Donations of mince pies and cakes to be dropped off on the day from 9.00am.
For children, there will be Santa’s Grotto with our special visitor and his elf dropping in on the Saturday 12.00pm to 1.00pm. Also there will be raffle tickets with lovely prizes!
* Bottles to be handed to Canon Philip in the sacristy or parish office
St Thomas's of Canterbury RC Church, Canterbury: Sunday 10 December 2023
St Thomas' Christmas Fair will take place from 10.30am - 1.00pm in the church hall. The church would be grateful for donations. Raffle donations: Unopened bottles of wine, spirits, chocolates, smellies etc. New items for the tombola. No donation is too small. Donations can be made until 10 December by leaving in the box in the All Saints Chapel or the church office (during office hours). Home made cakes (on the day).
There will be lots of stalls and activities, including Father Christmas. If you would like to help on the day or book a stall to promote your business (limited availability), please contact socialstthomasrc@gmail.com. All monies raised go towards church projects.
St Teresa's RC Church, Ashford: Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 December 2023
The Parish Fayre will run from 10.30am 0 2.30pm and then after the 5.30pm Mass on Saturday 9 December and from 11.30am - 12.30pm on Sunday 10 December.
The church would be grateful for donations of items that you no longer need, but are in good condition and complete: Books, children's toys, jigsaw puzzles, jewellery, handbags, plants. (No clothing or footwear.) Items for the raffle: Unopened bottles of wine, spirits, chocolates, smellies etc. Any contribution is appreciated and no donation is too small.
Donations can be made the week beginning Monday 4 December and can be dropped off in the Church hall. Home made cakes (on the day).
Christmas cards, Advent calendars, religious statues will also be on sale.
