Junior Lab Technician – Student intern
The role would suit a forthcoming school leaver (due to complete their A Levels this summer), perhaps someone who has decided to defer going straight on to university.

This is a temporary position for approximately 1 year, ideally starting in July / August 2019.  The role would be suited to someone who has a passion for science and has taken science based A ' Levels.  There is also a competitive salary paid for the role.  The successful candidate will gain invaluable experience in a state of the art and innovative environment whilst being surrounded by experts in their field.

From Grams to Tonnes: Scaling up in the pharmaceutical industry
For those students studying chemistry or are considering a career in the pharmaceutical industry.

Dr Stewart Hayes PhD will be speaking about how Pfizer and the pharmaceutical industry in general adapt synthetic reactions, scaling up from grams to tonnes.

The Extraordinary Technologies Of The Modern Jet Engine
Thursday 21st March 6.30

Dr Mike Percival, Global Head of Manufacturing Engineering at Rolls-Royce, will discuss some of the extraordinary technologies which make a modern jet engine work. From hollow titanium fan blades with an internal girder structure, to turbine blades which operate in gas above their own melting temperature and are each made of a single crystal of nickel.
He will also discuss how they assure the safety of their products, and the contribution made by all branches of “STEM”.

Summer Internships in London & New York
Nine programmes are on offer in total, ranging from two to five days in length, with both residential and non-residential options.
No prior experience or application is required.
London programmes are held at University College London (UCL) and UCL accommodation is available for students. New York programmes are held at New York University (NYU).
